Cycle Time, Setup, and What You Can Actually Hold

Before you look at the numbers, one thing: I won't hand you a catalogue tolerance and tell you to expect it on every bar. What this machine holds depends on what you feed it. If your incoming rod stock is already straight within 0.3 mm per meter, you can chase tighter output. If it starts with 2 mm of runout, the first pass will correct most of it, not erase it in one shot.

What Makes This Straightener Fast to Run and Fast to Change Over

Point-pressure without marking the surface

I've watched shops fight with roller straighteners that leave witness marks or crush the surface. This machine uses a point-contact anvil and a controlled dwell, so you remove the bend without introducing a new defect. On a 160 mm bar, the contact area stays small enough that we don't see indentation even on non-ferrous material.

Three-point measurement catches runout that a single gauge misses

A single contact point will straighten the high spot and leave the far end wild. The measuring carriage checks three positions along the bar before and after each press, so the control knows if the rod is S-shaped, not just bowed. That's why it doesn't surprise you with spring-back.

Recipe-based setup means the next job starts in minutes, not hours

Each part number stores target straightness, support positions, and press limits. The operator selects the recipe, loads the bar, and the machine moves the supports and measuring heads automatically. We've seen changeover go from two hours on a manual press to under 15 minutes.

For repeat runs, an integrated infeed rack and eject conveyor let one operator tend multiple machines. The straightener signals when it needs material, and the next bar drops into the V-block without manual handling.

These are not magical limits. If your raw material comes in with high runout, cycle time goes up because the machine runs additional passes. The closed-loop system stops when the measured straightness reaches the target you set—not when a timer ends.
